The University of Memphis Lady Tigers soccer team closed out its season over the weekend with a 4-0 shutout, over the Lady Buccaneers of Christian Brothers.
Freshman forward Jessica Gjertsen was a human-highlight reel, recording her third hat trick of the season in the win and also notching an assist, giving her 18 goals and four assists for 40 points in on the year.
For her efforts this past weekend, it was announced earlier this morning that Gjertsen was selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.
The results for post-season honors will be announced during the conference tournament banquet dinner which will be held Tuesday in St. Louis.
