Nicole Bates-Eamer, a standout on the women's soccer team, is very happy about the progress her team made this past season. Bates-Eamer, a senior and team captain, is a leader on the team.
"I am very happy about the improvement of the team," she said. "Beating San Francisco at the beginning of the year was one of our biggest accomplishments."
Bates-Eamer has played three years at The University of Memphis, and has been a positive influence from the beginning.
In her freshman year she started 22 games, and was ranked sixth on the team in scoring.
Bates-Eamer collected her first career goal in a 4-2 win over Belmont, and scored once against Arkansas. She also had two assists against St. Louis, including one in overtime.
Bates-Eamer prepped at Woodlands High School, and was a member of the British Columbia all-star team.
She earned honors as Most Valuable Player for her school team, and led her provincial team to the championship.Bates-Eamer has also earned the Woodlands High School Female Athlete of the Year award every year since the eighth grade.
