Weeks and weeks have passed since The U of M celebrated its annual homecoming festivities, and I still have not seen any articles about our current Mr. and Ms. University of Memphis.
I've seen numerous editor notes about Matt Presson, even a front page article about the new 2000-2001 directories coming out.
Yeah, now that's news!
Anyway, I know it was simply a small oversight by The Daily Helmsman staff, or maybe none of the staff attended the game.
Oh, but there were pictures from the game in the paper. I guess you were there!
Since our current Mr. and Ms. U of M were neglectfully unrecognized, I will take it upon myself to do so.
Greg Caesar and Summer Owens, you are outstanding students whose achievements and accomplishments should be acknowledged. From New Student Orientation guides to student ambassadors, the contributions that you have given to the school you adore so much (obviously, it isn't mutual) are exemplary and countless.
So, I encourage you to take a bow. You both deserve it!
