The University of Memphis must have ran out of ways to suck the money out of us poor students. It's recently been someone's brilliant idea to charge us to walk across campus to get our mail.
Everything on this campus is entirely too high. The bookstore is robbing us blind, the cafeteria charges cuisine prices for mediocre food, and the terrible parking is beyond reasonable pricing. Now, we must pay an extra $15 to get mail.
Does Danny Armitage really think that rent will not increase just because we have one post office?
It's my opinion, and many others that now we will be paying higher rent and $15 for a mailbox that most of us don't want. This school doesn't think about how to better serve us, but instead how to better serve their pockets.
The new post office is unnecessary.
It's out of the way, and it costs! We will end up paying for the mailboxes we have in our dorms plus we'll pay for the new post offices.
I know it, Danny Armitage knows it, and all the students on this campus know it.
I sincerely hope the new mailboxes fail miserably. Students, if you don't support the mailboxes, they'll have to concede to the will of the students.
I think its time for the students on this campus to take a stand against Danny Armitage and residence life and say, "NO THANKS" to the new post office.
