Tiger Sports Roundup: Men's Golf

The University of Memphis Tiger golf team struggled to an opening round score of 320 and found themselves in last place after one round of the Country Club of Louisiana Golf Tournament hosted by LSU. Conference USA member UAB lead after the opening 18 holes with a team score of 280. Auburn and Tulsa tied for second at 283.

Graeme McDowell of UAB was the individual leader after turning in a six under par 66. Memphis was led by freshman David Jeans who had an opening round of 76. Jeans is tied for 42nd.

The tournament was scheduled for 36 holes to be played to Monday but play was delayed due to darkness and the second round will not be completed until today. The final 18 holes will be played after the second round has concluded.
